I know I’ve been talking non-stop about my upcoming fantasy, The Thirteenth Hour, but I’m super excited to share this world with you – and the absolutely gorgeous cover to go with it!

The Thirteenth Hour is the first book in The Cruel Gods series—a gaslamp fantasy featuring magical portals, gothic cosmic deities, quaint Britishisms, and steampunk vibes. Set in the Edwardian-inspired world of Chime, a city made from brick and brass, this is the story of Kayl; a godless heathen who stands against the cruel gods who rule Chime, and Quen; a Warden sworn to punish the sinners of Chime by order of the gods. But when soul-sucking creatures made of aether attack Chime’s citizens, and Kayl accidentally steals a mortal’s soul using powers she didn’t know she had, Kayl and Quen will need to work together to save their beloved city.

This story is told through the eyes of both Kayl and Quen, and I can’t wait for you to meet them. Kayl is a playful and flirty character who will do what it takes to protect mortals from the whims of their gods. Quen is a sentimental nerd who loves talking about trams and drinking tea. Together, their partnership will shake up Chime and the domains of the gods!
